Microsoft will soon begin automatically cancelling dormant Game Pass subscriptions

Following an investigation by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, Microsoft has mentioned it would make modifications to its Sport Go program that can make it simpler for subscribers to cancel the service, and can cease taking funds for subscriptions that go dormant.

The CMA mentioned that it first “recognized considerations about sure options of Microsoft’s auto-renewing subscriptions” as a part of a wider investigation into on-line gaming. These considerations included readability about automated subscription renewal, ease of disabling automated renewals, and whether or not clients could also be unwittingly paying for outdated subscriptions that they had been now not utilizing.
