The workers crammed a waste container resembling a bag inside the air lock

172 pounds of filthy garments, foam, packing materials, used office supplies

Jonathan McDowell tweeted, "This is the first use of an airlock trash bag ejection device on the ISS.”

According to McDowell's archives, a similar jettison last occurred in September 1996
