Biggest 'supermoon' of year to light Jacksonville

The moon is hurtling toward its closest point to Earth this year,

But the real show will come this evening, when the full moon rises

timeanddate.com says that will be at 9:03 p.m. in the Jacksonville area — and lights the night

It will seem brighter and reach-out-and-touch larger than usual to many, although some question

whether the differences are significant enough to be noticed by most people.

Although it won't be full by then, the moon also will appear a little bigger and brighter Thursday

Of course, the weather will have to do its part to make sure visibility is good. Forecasters at AccuWeather.
