Earth’s oldest meteor traced to Mars crater
The meteorite known as Black Beauty, weighing 320 grams, was found in north Africa in 2011.
It contains fragments of rock that are 4.48 billion years old, only slightly younger than the solar system.
No rocks from this period had been found on Earth because they have been destroyed by geological activity and erosion.

The international team want NASA to prioritize the area around Karratha Crater as a future landing site on Mars.
They used a supercomputer to track its creation on the red planet in a province known as Terra Cimmeria-Sirenum.
